When I think about holistic care, there are three important keys. First, exercise, second, life style, and third, nutrition. None of them should be missed. All are equally important to have a truly happy pooch. Why?
Dogs are carnivores and to get their food, they hunt as a pack. When I mean exercise, it is not 'play'. It is more like how the pack moves together to get their food. They have a serious purpose. Exercise creates the strong bond between you and your dog and it is the moment you and your dog become ONE. You will be the leader and dog is happy to follow. That will give the dog security, respect and trust towards you. The dog's mind is balanced.
And life style. Ah, how many over weight dogs have you ever seen? How many dogs do you know that never get enough exercise or routine. We prioritise our life and do not listen to what they really need. So we need to think what we are asking to them and ask ourselves if we really fulfil their needs as a dog. When they are provided what they truly need, they will get their balance back.
I am passionate about food. "We are what we eat." It is almost too famous to say this. But what about dogs? How could we think it is healthy when we feed our dogs kibbles everyday. Do you really know what is inside them and how they taste? So I want to go back to the basics. Simple and beautiful. What do they eat in nature? What do we get in each season? Dogs are carnivores and can not cook ( right?). So giving balanced raw food is something natural for dogs. And on top of that, I use herbs to enhance their immune system. Prevention is more important than treatment for me. And I believe when their immune system is properly working they can live with bacterias and can fight against illness.
Let's think simple and all the details will follow.
