One of my very favourite herbs is Wild Rose.
It has a quiet strength as well as a delicate look. It looks as if it will never hurt anyone yet it has sharp thorns not only on its stems but also in its fruits.
When I worked with this plant, I really enjoyed the feeling of its innocence with fresh cool existence. But what helped me was it's honesty and strength to believe in the power of wisdom.
My seasonal work is guided by my dogs. My black lab Coco loves berries but she only eats ripe ones especially when it comes to rose hips.
It has a huge amount of vitamin C and their pips and hair are good as dewormer. ( Mind you, they won't do good for human but irritate skin so please be careful.)
I dry rose hips but also make a small potion of raw rose hip honey syrup as well. This is a special remedy for dogs and human especially when the body needs to some boost to get better after the illness.
Fresh ripe rose hips
Raw honey, local honey is better
1 : Cut hips in half and scoop pips and hair with a little spoon
Again, please be careful with the hair. If you have a sensitive skin, wearing the rubber gloves won't harm you.
2 : Chop them small
3 : Put them in a clean glass jar - fill them up to half
4 : Fill the jar with raw honey
5 : Shake well once or twice day for a week.
6 : After 3 months, you can start using it.
Enjoy seasonal walk and work with your dogs :)
